River or creek pebbles will wear out a diamond drill. Kinda like that pea gravel stuff. The big river stones made many good large hand tools like..morters and pestles,diggers and axes net weights and cooking rocks . For the stone age they were very resourceful. My humble opinion from what I have seen and found. :notworthy:

I've got one from my grandpa's collection that looks just like yours :o! How cool is that??? It came from Missouri also and is 4"x2". Cool find, central MO rock stars!

I love tools made out of river cobble, cool. Looks like interesting pieces, and very similar in nature...
