point made from brown creek gravel

I am not sure on this but, I was told that this creek gravel was hard to work so, you don't see many things made from it. I was just wondering if this was true? thank you CMRS

River or creek pebbles will wear out a diamond drill. Kinda like that pea gravel stuff. The big river stones made many good large hand tools like..morters and pestles,diggers and axes net weights and cooking rocks . For the stone age they were very resourceful. My humble opinion from what I have seen and found.

I've got one from my grandpa's collection that looks just like yours ! How cool is that It came from Missouri also and is 4"x2". Cool find, central MO rock stars!
