Here are two Graham Cave points and the states Grham Cave points have been found.
Notice how they travel the Mississippi.
There are actually three different basal configurations to the Graham Cave type.
As far as remembering someone's posts... I remember alot of cheerleading an instigating from a someone .... who could that be?

Big Sandy.. mabey

Hippy, I appreciate your insight on this point. Well done. Kat

Here's picture from the book by Greg Perino "Selected Points and Preforms of the North American Indian" As you can see, Graham Cave points have a pretty small distribution range. Also notice that Graham Cave points aren't beveled. However, their slightly southern and western bretheren, the White River point, are beveled.

Hippy

It was found in jackson county. In a bluff shelter. The material is light. That one stired up some dust, take a look at this one. arrowheads 054.webparrowheads 053.webp1 3/4'' x 1 1/8'' there have been two I know of found in morgan county in same field along Tenn. river

I have to agree with Hippy on this. As soon as I saw Graham Cave thrown out there I knew it wasn't correct. Nothing against you Gator because you are just going by what you saw on Projectile Points, but as Hippy said, GC's aren't found in Alabama and even if they were that doesn't resemble one. Wrong basal style and the beveling is not found on GC's. I'm not sure what it is, but I do know what it isn't and it isn't a GC Point.

Mabey just call it a centerpiece.

Hey... Hippy... All I did was my best to try to assign a type to it based on the info available to me...
Which you still have not done..
Have at it.
Its pretty funny that immediately after you say.... just because it's on the internet doesn't mean it's true..
You ask for something from the internet for proof..

Umm. gator, I guess you should know that when most artifact guys ask for or about a site report, they are not talking about what you can find on a web site.

What in tarnation are you on right now???
Where would the info be if it was posted here???
Ummmm... hmmmmm...
Ahhhh..
Ho..hum.... yawn
Goodbye quito

Again, you make no sense. Even after the editing.

Just trying to show you that Hippy was asking you to cite from a site report, not just fire off info from a website.

Now, maybe you can find that Site Report on the web, and show us some GC's being found down there.

Oh.. you show me.. OK thanks..don't know what I would do without that ingenious insight.
Come on man.. you constantly make useless posts to do nothing but make little stabs..this thread was already coming to a close when you had to hop on Hippys bandwagon just to be childish.
Mos...quito.
Did that make sence to you?

THEN look a little harder, (try oversteets) and I bet you can find a better example. ;-)

"when you had to hop on Hippys bandwagon just to be childish."

No, It was just to help get you to read a little closer, and understand the difference in site types.

"Mos...quito.
Did that make sence to you?"

Yep, pretty clever. Who thought it up for you?

Them facts at the bottom of pretty much all your posts say otherwise, I can see why you are tired. Argue all you want with them after your nap.

"So far all you've added to this thread was.. "I'd lean towards Heavy Duty"..

Oh? I help get you straightened out on the different types of sites.

"are you done?"

Done what?

"If you're Out of of gas just walk home. "
