Had asked permission to search this new construction site before it gets landscaped this time I made sure I had a name and contact number Unlike the last construction site fiasco when 5-0 showed up and gave me the boot.Unfortunately landscaping begins Monday so only have one day it is located alongside the route that General Lafayette lead his men to Valley Forge and a Revolutionary War makeshift hospital is approximately a 1/4 mile up the same road as 07F0C095-DBD1-428A-A1CC-F485A13567D0.webp0ED2DF6A-684A-4036-859D-E158BBBC61E0.webp

Nice! Keep us posted

While I’m not a fan of government regulations, it may be interesting if developers had a period of time during which detectorists are allowed to search the area before construction begins.

I hate the thought of potentially historic areas being plowed under with not a whit of concern as to the artifacts that may be waiting for discovery.

Hopefully none of it has been removed if you look at top picture that mound of what looks like just weeds is the dirt that was removed for the building of new homes and it stretches around the backside of homes all the way to the street it’s approximately 4’ to 5 ‘ feet in height the site where the police showed up is less than a quarter mile away and there were a 4 piles of soil all of them at least 30’ high was there maybe a an hours time had dug a buckle 2 Wheats and a 1952 Italian Lira they hadn’t even started building yet just had moved the dirt 2CD02EF0-A600-445D-A022-1E9854CDEDB0.webp324DBEF0-0262-48E8-8F56-69067B4CBC6A.webp

I believe they're more worried about liability than harm you might do to the dirt. Also, some contractors are afraid you'll actually find something good enough to stop construction and cause an expensive delay. I always tell them that I'll let them see whatever I find (if they want to see them) and mum's the word about where I found them to anyone else.

Appears to be off an old trunk or Suitcase.
