HEY GUYS AND GALS

Up 5:30 again today..... -9 and snowing lightly sighhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Waited for cousin ED to pick me up at 6:15.... I waited til 6:30... no ED.... phone didn,t ring either.

So off I went...figured he said screw this and went back to bed...he didn,t go yesterday as was too cold.

Decided to try another spot....went to low water...only there about 20 minutes and nice loud signal on the CZ 21.

Kicked a couple rocks away ....lotsa hot rocks ....and the signal was still there. Dig...dig..gravelly and muck...got the signal outta the hole ...out with the pinpointer..and had a hard time finding it in all the muck but knew it wasn,t a musket ball this time as i had the muck all flattened out.

Grabbed a hand full of mud and sure enough I had it in my hand....figured was a coin until I found a puddle of water to wash it....didn,t know it was a Royal Provincial until my eyes started watering again trying to see threw the dirt and it is not as clear as the first one I found.... put a big grind on my face.....very happy with this find.!!!!!

Moved further to the west after going over the button spot really good.... detector screamed out again like it was on a big piece of iron...looked down and didn,t see anything on top.....the mortar frag looked like the rest of the rocks as it has barnacles.....then knew exactly what it was as Romeo showed me a piece of one . Might even be a piece of the one he posted a few days ago...think he has 4 pieces of one that match together....will give this piece to him and maybe he will get it all someday...make a great puzzle !!!

Damn...I,m gonna be along time paying for that new CZ 21 at 69 cents....

Got a couple nice jars I filled..they look nice on the shelf in the corner case in the living room... 3rd bottle is a big liquor bottle almost full now...would prolly trade it for a full bottle of good liquor !!!

Man, I'd keep em! Give some to friends who love what you find, make some displays etc! You've got some nice balls there.....that came out wrong... Lol

Great finds, with everything you been finding and posting you almost need your own section on Treasurenet. lol.

lol..it has been a good start to 2014...I got lotsa time on my hands at this time of year...in between fishing seasons with nothing to do.

Start back end of april fishing...prolly gonna need to find a new spots to detect before then.

Lolol.....you are the first man to tell me that! !!!!!!

You're really scrounging out some nice finds when others aren't even venturing out. It always pays to be hard-core. Love that buckle!

You make me feel like such a wuss, I don't even want to go out. Of course if I had a shot of finding what you are finding, I'd be at your door at 6:15 in the morning!
Nice finds, ha I feel the same way about the musket balls and bullets, but like me I noticed you have not thrown any in the trash. Your tuff but spoiled, ha lol.

Ya..the buckle is nice--I like it .!

Was out this morning again...but didn,t stay...damn it was cold...and I had an appointment to catch.

-20 this morning at daylight....can,t ever remeber them temps in March...never gonna end.

But has been a awesome winter detecting so far....saltwater machines are the way to go.

LOL.. ya..I can,t throw out the musket balls..... was excited to see one last year.

It is taking much longer than I thought it would to clean out the few spots I found...starting to think it is impossible.

I left early from hunting today ..freaking cold....Cousin ED went today...he stayed the whole morning. !!

Seen him at the end of his hunt ...he found a couple neat things at a small spot we both pounded twice and he has been there 3 or 4 times also..can,t believe it is still giving up good finds..... don,t understand how there is nothing hardly at all one day..then go to the exact same place few days after and there is targets everywhere...doesn,t make any sense.
Maybe the tides move stuff around.

Will post his finds from today later ...couple things don,t know what they are...interested to find out.

If there was a banner for fortitude you'd get it! You must be well insulated -20 is not a fun #.
It is weird when there's nothing at a spot one time then a bunch of things the next, has to be ground conditions.
Congrats AQUA !

If you can't handle detecting at -20 on the east coast, you're just a big puddie lol

As for finding stuff one time and not another reinforces the fact you never get it all, and you just have to zig more than zag each time out

yes..very weird...I went over that spot pretty good with the CZ21 also 5 days ago....so can,t blame it on teh F75s making noise /small coils and missing targets because of it.

lol..need to find a new search pattern ...maybe try out that hash pipe I found couple weeks ago and go over that piece of ground again...make for a interesting search grid !!!!

haha
if anything, you might slow down and chill out and go a little slower and cover the ground more meticulously .... or just stay home eating chips and playing video games lol

lol...you might be onto something there.

But most likely just stay home eating chips and playing poker online.

If I went detecting I would trip over a rock and break the detector without a doubt as my mind would be on all the shelves of potato chips and chocolate bars at the local grocery store....be drooling like Homer Simpson.
