Possibe artifact. Your opinion?

I found this recently in North Sulphur River in northeast Texas. It doesn't look kiln-fired to me, being light gray inside. Any opinions? Native American or modern? I have a third pic showing the inside straight-on, but it refused to upload. Thanks for looking.

When you find pottery you will know , keep that piece to compare them too.
