Possible artifact, Humboldt County California

I found this in or along a river bed either near the Van Duzen County Park, or somewhere on the Mad River near the hatchery or down stream at one of the many swimming spots. It fits perfectly in one's hand, and is nearly perfectly flat on one side.

rounded river rock
were it a grinder /mano the bottom would be smooth and convex
 

don't be fooled by the "fits in my hand" thing.... all rocks do
 

Looks like a well worn stone from a river.

It's shape is intriguing..if you glued on some whiskers,
a tail and a couple eyes you'd have a very cool doorstop. :occasion14:
