001.webp002.webpI found this small pair of scissors along a wagon road probably about 150 yards from a spot where I found a couple medical bleeders "fleams",which has me thinking maybe they are connected because of the somewhat light, small construction of the scissors.I have seen some on the web and a couple that were similar looking, but not sure of their size? I am hoping some of you guys might know. They are 5in. long and the finger holes are 1/2in wide.joe

Hey DigIron2!! Tough Call, but interesting in the fact the second photograph appears to have a bolster at the distal tip of the upper blade to prevent accidentally cutting tissue, if that is what I'm seeing!! Could possibly be a pair of tissue shears!! GOOD LUCK and GOOD HUNTING!! VERDE!!

Thanks Verde! It might just be some iron build up on the tip,I am not sure.I need to clean it up a little more. Are they about the size of some medical shears of the period?
