Could it be an old tree wedge I wonder? Sorta like these

Looks like a tooth off of an excavator bucket or dozer blade.

The tree wedge is exactly what it looks like. I found it down a hill in a stand of oak trees. Evidence of trees cut down nearby. Not where you’d find an anvil. Thanks for the help.

It doesn't look like any hardy I have ever used. The ones I am used to have a flat base at the point that the square stem that fits into the hardy hole is attatched. The base on your object is tapered and would get stuck in the hole if pounded on. If you do an image search for "blacksmiths' hardy" you will see what I mean. It looks to me more like the broken-off end of a chisel point jackhammer gad or digging bar. This is just where a gad that has been tempered too hard will break.
