Possible officers button? (My first good civil war find!)

I found this today where there was presumably a civil war encampment. I can’t seem find this exact button though, there are others like it online, but none that are convex have the same design. It’s about as wide as a penny, has a 3 loop rope bow above a right facing bugle surrounded with stars, the back says “orange gilt colour” can anyone help identify its history?

Looks like a one-piece state militia rifles button:

It would have been made in the 1820's or 1830's and I believe this was an officer's pattern. I haven't seen a convex of this type before, but there were many different die types and back mark combinations.
