I found this chunk of something that looks like pottery. I found it today in Franklin County, Missouri. Can someone tell me if this is pottery? It almost appears too glossy to be old. Please enlighten me :P

You're right, it's not Native pottery. Looks like crockery from the last pic; can be old, just not Native....

I agree w/ Charl. That looks like the base of a (possibly old, possibly colonial) crock. HH1 Yak
