I recently found this medal at my father-in-law's house. It has what appears to be an ironclad on it and a date of 1897.It reads"MIMIC BLOCKADE OF CHARLESTON HARBOR BY THE NORTH ATLANTIC SQUADRON".Does anyone know anything else about this?

The manoeuvres of the Atlantic squadron before Charleston, S.C., this week, in an imaginary blockade of and attack on that port, recall the famous blockades of 1861 to 1863 by the United States Navy. It was clearly demonstrated by the Confederate defense that the city could not, under conditions of war then prevailing, be either captured or blockaded by hostile fleets..........................
