Dug a little bit ago. Decent amount of Civil War activity in my area. Was thinking possibly a knife or sword scabbard tip, but just guessing at this point. :icon_scratch:

Any thoughts?

IMO... "side knife" sheath tip.

Doubt it's a scabbard tip. It's too thick and there's not indication of attachment holes. I dug an item almost identical to yours a few years back. Mine was crude like that and made of a thick pewter kinda metal.
