I am thinking this is a chrome piece, trim, or possibly a "fin" chrome piece the used to accent the fins on the old classic cars.

Can anyone verify?

Looks like a piece of trim but I think it is an interior one due to the exposed screw hole. Maybe seat trim.

Look at the bumper.

If you are referring to the bumper guards, they are bolted on from the back bottom side of the bumper and are much sturdier than the piece in the original post. I have around 12 of them in my shop right now.

Or maybe an end piece of trim for a roof-mounted luggage rack, or something along those lines.
I agree it's not bumper-grade, as it's much too thin.

could also be decor trim from a 50's era appliance, such as a stove of refrigerator
