Note: I worked this property last year with the co-owner when the gold in the picture was obtained. We work under 2 hours on a red and blue clay layer about a foot below water line and a foot or so just above the water line. That was late summer, low water flow. Total worked area was about 2ft by 2ft by 4ft wide.
The access is by road to the top of the canyon, and approximately 300' of canyon wall trail down to waters edge.
There were a number of high bench placer deposit above this property worked around the early 1900's.
Also, one of the bigger Bucket Line Dredging operation in Josephine County was 3 or so miles up stream.
