Pot metal(?) spaceship part?

All, after 2+ years of trying I finally got permission from a property owner to detect some land they own. They told me the house burned down. When I hiked back there, I also discovered it had been a party place - with beer cans, etc. scattered everywhere above & below ground. Anyways, found what I believe is a piece of pot metal with a little chrome plating. It appears to have attached to something via the broken bracket. There is a screw coming out of one end and a nail from the other. Given its shape it looks like the spaceship-influenced designs from the late 1950s-early 1960s. Do you think this is off an automobile, bicycle, spaceship (just kidding), or ???

Might be one window crank handle (auto) , and one mirror mount (auto.)

It reminds me of a fender mounted rear view mirror “mount”.

releventcar & Fat, thanks a bunch! I Googled your suggestions and found a similar mount. Unless someone on TNet knows, I'll look some more and try to narrow down the make, model, & year vehicle this was from.
