Potiental cent error?

[My Coin Demise]

It appears to be straight up zinc. Except for a very straight narrow band along the rim.

Its a 1986 D penny.

It's a damaged coin in my opinion. Looks like maybe a dryer coin.

Possibly placed in an acid bath which removed the Copper plating!

Acid bath for sure and not to be criticizing anyone's photos because mine are not much better but next time you want to take a picture of a small coin try and find your macro setting and switch it on. It usually is represented with a flower icon although all cameras are different but it will help bring the photos into focus........
