Pounded site turns out a VA staff, lots of gilt!

Hit up a field site today with a couple friends before it gets planted in corn this week. Landowner had told us it had been hit hard over the years but that did not deter us. After about 3 hours this afternoon we had only turned up a few civil war era bullets and a coupe flat buttons, was about to call it a day when i got a good signal and popped out a nice gilted VA staff button, great way to end what would have been a pretty unspectacular hunt, haha.
