We elect these people, so we give them the power.

We don't give them power if we never elect them.

"WE", the vocal minority never admit to electing them . Must be election by silent acclaimation by those who never admit who they voted for .......

How about we pro-rate their retirement ? 5% for every year they serve in office. That way the ones that actually DESERVE to stay get rewarded in the end.
