We used to go camping and make some rough tasting bread. We got some flour and mixed it with water and a little salt. We put the dough on a stick and cooked it over a fire. There was no yeast so it kept the same size. A big glob of burnt bread on a stick.
It was real crispy and black on the outside. Inside was some pretty good bread.
I found the recipe years ago in some book and they called it Prarie Bread.
