Smooth round and broken cobble found in my yard among mostly chert along the lower Hiwassee River, and near Woodland and Mississippian villages.

This cobble, if a tool, appears to show evidence of real hard use, imho. Maybe broken celt?

Not easy to break a round stone that way. It looks a little like a MANO to me. Perhaps before it was used as a Hammer. Looks to have a flattened side.
