Been fighting VA for over 5 years. I fit the time frame and area for Korea Agent orange. But lived near Seoul and worked the ASA sites at DMZ. All classified so they say I cant prove was at the DMZ. No classified records found. ? gave up

I would try again since the new law was passed. Go see a veterans service officer in your area. If not call your congressman.

Sad part is it’s not just the VA anymore that’s screwing people, I don’t use the VA as I’ve always had my own private insurance, mainly during self employment, and this last bout where I broke my back, tore my acl, meniscus, cartilage in my left knee, have PTSD, and chronic migraines. I’ve had one surgery on my leg. Will need another before it’s all said and done, I’ve had one spinal fusion on my back, and in April I have two back to back surgeries on my spine. I filed disability through the Social Security Admin with a lawyer and got turned down twice even with all my medical problems. They say I don’t meet the requirements eventhough all my symptoms are symptoms eligible for disability, and I cannot work. I can barely lift ten pounds, can’t sleep at night so I’ve got meds to knock me out due to pain, and nightmares. It’s this whole government we’ve got now. Trumps trying to fix what others fudged up, and it’s taking time. Whereas folks like my brother in law had gout, and is on disability, nothing wrong with him and he still works on the side, also my ex wife, she had chronic migraines and got disability for it and still worked on the side. That was all under the Obama admin. So I’m hoping that Trump will help individuals like me who have to rely on selling stuff, tinkering on things that I can manage, and long term disability through my employer. I’m supposed to be eligible for Social Security Disability in May due to that being me off for two years. So we’ll see. I’ve got into it with my disability lawyer over all this because out of neurologist, neurosurgeons, and even all my other drs, they have all the info showing I’m disabled. So I’d keep trying if I were you.

If he was married his spouse can fill a claim. If he filled for cancer and never received it and it was related to ship board duty in the 12 mile limit of vietnam coast.

Go online and type in veterans services in your area.Make an appointment.
Take his military records with them.
All his records are on fill and he can look it up and tell you if you qualify.

My moms boyfriend got it for self induced diabetes, then he dropped a can of beans on his toe. Disabled forever and getting a check every month!
Half my family is probably on it or trying to get it right now. It's the new cheese line!

Damn. Either my lawyer isn’t doing something right or something. I’ve had all my surgeons tell me I need to be on it, the LTD folks at the company I worked at said they could do it since they have all my medical records. I should try them

I'm no better than any man, I'm no one special, but I care nothing about going on Disability unless I absolutely had to. I could most likely quality for it today, and for the last 19 or so years. I have had two total hip replacements, and would work another 5 years for the Fire Dept. before retiring in 2006. I have lower back arthritis pain, I am a survivor of prostate cancer, but I still trudge on. The Good Lord still allows me to get around pretty good. I have always felt like if I tried to get over on the government and my fellow taxpayers, that the Good Lord just might see to it that I am in true need as a recipient of disability. I would rather see someone in True Need of this get this help that they need. I don't much care for these Bone Head self entitltiees drawing this simply because they feel they are owed or entitled.

After two knee surgeries, what’s going to be my third back surgery in April, PTSD, chronic migraines, and degenerative disc disease I hope after all the good deeds I’ve done for folks in the 8 years of law enforcement before I was medically retired I’ll get it. I’m not going to give up hope. After working in the judicial system, and as a FEMA certified crisis incident response , dang Katrina, and several other storms I had to work put a toll on me. I figure if they eventually put me on it they put me on it. I’m on LTD as it is through my employer so eventually they’ll have to when my 2 years is up on not being able to work

Civil War22 I'm right there with you. I have degenerated bone disease which caused my hip replacements. I'll say a prayer or a couple for your upcoming back surgery in April that all will go well and that you make a full and complete recovery. Thanks for your service in Law Enforcement also.

Thank you very much, I’ll do the same for you. I just got a letter for an appeal in my disability, and lawyer is setting up a hearing for it. So I hope and pray all goes well and I get it
