not sure on age , maybe 1950s-70 ?Thanks. Any idea of age?
At this site on top of the hill there are two man made holes about 4 feet wide by 6 feet long and presently about 3 to 4 foot deep. Considered maybe these could have been still sites but can’t understand why they would be on the top of the hill. Btw don’t believe they were gravesites. Would they have put a still there and have it done in a hole? When I saw “valve” and “GA” I immediately thought of a still.🤣 I had occasion to meet some moonshiners yrs ago near Cloudland Canyon in far NW GA. It made for an interesting weekend while we were camping.
In my (limited) experience with moonshine stills, you would never put it on a hill nor in a hole. The equipment needs to be quickly and easily mobile, and/or in a remote, secluded area.At this site on top of the hill there are two man made holes about 4 feet wide by 6 feet long and presently about 3 to 4 foot deep.
