Hi, I've been walking some fields these past few weeks trying to stay ahead of the farmers. Mostly getting a few buttons and junk but I got permission this morning to hunt a field that had some kind of structure there so off I went. I hunted 3hrs this morning and only came up with a small flat button. Then I went back tonight for another 2 1/2 hrs and stepped out of the truck and Bam! Dug a 1913 wheatie, then a few more large flat buttons and then this little beauty, 1867 2-cent piece! SWEET!!! Look at all that detail, cleaned up nice!
The wheatie and buttons are soaking right now, no need for this little one to be though.
I covered a lot of ground, I'll wait now until the farmers til it up for the season and go hit it up once again then I won't have to watch out the the ground hog holes!
