A couple weeks ago I made a nice find with a State Fair of Texas souvenir medal. Went back today and rescanned the spot with a bit less discrimination and got a signal. Re-scanned and another signal. Finally went to 'all-metal' and cleaned it out. I see why I missed the token on the first shot. It sounds like zinc and aluminum when bounced. Not sure how I missed the second medal. I always re-scan after filling a hole. The wheaties are '51 and '36 and were not in the hole but the gold plated cufflink, a gold plated brooch/pin, token and second medal were all in the hole where I dug the first medal. See my post "State Fair Irony...twice" for a pic of the first medal. I found a 4X6 piece of glass in the hole too. Wondering if these were in a display? Just learned the Confederate Vets met in Dallas at Fair Park 1902! Here is a link that describes the medal to a 'T'!
