An at-home card is used if the couple wants to announce a new address after the wedding. Traditionally it has been included with the wedding invitations but recently couples have started including them with wedding announcements, which are sent immediately after the wedding.
At-home cards sent with the wedding invitations are very simple, listing the date you will be back from the honeymoon and your new address. They do not list your names because guests will receive the cards before you actually married. The wording would look something like this:

Today, at-home cards are often sent with wedding announcements, which means the couple can also communicate the bride’s new name (whether she’s keeping her last name, taking her husband’s last name or hyphenating). Wording for an at-home card sent with wedding announcements would look something like this:
Joseph Smith and Rebecca Jones-Smith
after the fifth of September
1901 Lookout Boulevard
Saxton, Illinois 12345
The at-home card is also a great way to share other contact information like new phone numbers and/or email addresses. List these things along the bottom of the card in whatever format you prefer.
Where do you purchase at-home cards? Some wedding invitation retailers may offer “at-home cards” specifically but most offer a generic enclosure option that can be used as at-home cards.
