Prizm 5 with DD coil

Anyone with tthis combo I have a question. What would bi the best settings to get past the learning curve. Plan to use it in some tight places & high trash areas. :read2:

I don't know about the DD coil. I had a prism V that worked well for me. I sold it to a friend of mine when I bought my DFX and he is doing really well witrh it and the stock coil

If I'm not mistaken, the DD coil for the Prizm series is the same size (4X6) as I often use on my MXT. You should be able to run the sensitivity as high as it will run stable. You should be able to pinpoint easily with the smaller coil and get thru trash and tight places well. The only real change I find that I need to do when using a small coil is to SLOW DOWN a fair bit as it is very easy to over swing and lose or miss the targets as they appear. Your goal should be to cover a smaller area well rather than trying to cover a lot of ground. The 4X6 really slips thru very heavy trash quite well and will separate the goodies much better than the larger coils.
