Just experienced something strange / my White's Prizm II actully worked in the NC coastal waters and wet sand . Not just in the dry sand (done that before) but I mean in the wet sand & salty Atlantic Ocean . No I did not find that buried treasure ive been a look'n, but nare the less the unit worked!! No falsing occurred until I turned the senitivity over 6 bars this included the water or wet sand / discrimnation was set for nails only. I bring the Minelab for the wet salty stuff but this was a surprise to see this White's unit do so well. Did'nt find a lot but it sure was fun!! gottit

That's a coincidence. I took my Prizm II to the beach yesterday as well for the first time and had no problems with interference, but no finds either. In fact I was getting no signals either on dry sand or wet sand and had to make a quick "coin garden" to make sure the machine was reading right and at different depths.....it was spot on with everything. I just chose a bad section of beach although I wouldn't have thought so with all the kayakers and boaters at this section but it is located on the inlet where shifting sands and shorelines could quickly pour a ton of sand over eveything.
But there's plenty of beach and more time.
I did find two modern pennies along the causeway however and that was in about four inches deep in wet sand, low tide.
