The higher the capacity the longer they will last.

The higher the capacity the longer they will last.

In other words the higher the mAh number the longer they will last .. holds more juice :)

Panasonic makes good rechargable batteries and so does Radio Shack.

Look at the voltage also. Some are not 9 volt, but 6.4 or 8.4 and won't last long even with a high mAh. Also, there have been incidents where people have purchased cheap cheap batteries, made in China, which ended up being junk. Either go with a known brand name or one somebody who has previously used one on these forums.

MAh (million amp hour) or milla amp hour. I use regular batteries and they seem to last a very long time don't see the need for rechargeable but for the detector I might I don't use headphones much unless im at a public area.

I just use regular 9 volt batteries....I think I go through about 3 a year with a lot of usage.

l bought several Maximalpower professional digital Li-on batteries on ebay. hey are 550mAh batteries and they seem to work good in my detectors.

Thanks All: I have a Bounty hunter I use at the saw mill and it uses 2 9v batt. I also have the charger so I'm gonna get a cpl 500-600 mVA and see how they work// at 2-3 per year I agree they are not necessary // Perry
