Metal Detecting
Any one encountered this? Was out detecting and not finding much, so I moved to a different spot. Took the AT Gold out of the car and nothing. Won't power on. Installed new batteries and cleaned contacts, nothing not a sound, dead. Sent it to Garrett so will see. Just wondering if ant one else has had this happen?

Lots of trouble with Garrett's lately it seems.:BangHead: Maybe a defective part. I don't trust touch pads.

Sounds like it could be the battery holders. I always do the tongue test (ouch!) to the battery terminals.to make sure there is juice. And, it really doesn't burn like a 9 volt.
