Here is a Link, give it a few seconds to load then scroll down to page 33 for more info on the Equinox 800 user profile.

darren -- it is to allow you to set up a second "program," or set of settings, that you might like to use at times, perhaps to "cross-check" a difficult target. For instance, some trash that reads in the nickel range (such as can slaw) in multi-frequency mode, will read differently if you check it in 10 kHz or 20 kHz. So, you might set up a similar program to that which you normally hunt with, but running one of the single frequencies instead of multi, and set that new program in your "profile" bin. Then, when you hit a "13" signal on the EQX, but you aren't sure, you can "cross-check" it, with the program saved in your profile.

That's just one idea, but thinking along those lines may allow you to find a good use for your "user profile" bin.

Thanks!

That makes since. Thanks Steve

Another hint. When you change a any pattern like Park 1 or any other and save it to profile and you turn off profile you can reset the maim pattern to factory reset by holding in the pattern button and FP will come on the screen but the profile will still be there. If you do a hard reset from the off position it will reset everything.
