Proof or BU?

I believe they did not start putting the S on proofs until 1968, so what's your opinion as to this being a proof of just a really nice BU?

I believe Em is correct. There were no proof sets made 1965-67.

Ditto on the above posts, it looks like you have an SMS half. Is it toned on the reverse, or is it just the lighting? That's a nice looking half, regardless.
