Proof????

I found a 1967 jefferson nickel that has proof-like qualities on the front but the reverse is super toned. I think it is a proof but why it is only on one side beats me. Tell me what you think. HH, Zach.

No such thing as 1967 Proof
1965-7 only SMS (special mint sets)
Hard to tell by pic, would suggest taking to LCS to compare to SMS if you don't have one

For 1965, 66 & 67 they didn't issue Proof Sets. They offered a slightly less quality product called Special Mint Sets
