this series is hands down the best series on prospecting to date, i recorded and watched the hole series,very real ,and very well done in my opinion,and season one,the one family pulled out some of the best amazonite/smokey quartz specimens in the world,quarter of a million dollar specimens,one was over 3 hundred grand. fantastic show in my book,and the drama was the very real threat of weather and claim jumpers, both handled in a very real way. the characters in the show are very real, that rich fettered (sp) pulled the biggest topaz to date in the us, very cool, very cool show ,i recomend it to anyone!

I love this show too. but stupid DTV cancelled it & now have the worst weather channel ever! If y'all know how to get the shows on line, could you give me the link? I miss it!!

i was under the impression that there would be a season three. i will be very disapointed if not .

That is what I used to do in Colorado. Topaz and Smoky Quartz were my weekend buddies. I have seen them on this show display a hand full of crap that I would have thrown back in the hole and say it was worth hundreds of dollars. On my best day I opened a pocket with six doubly terminated Smoky Quartz crystals that were about six inches long and two inches across the flats. I gave five of them away and have one left. I will be trying to get back to Colorado this summer for a few days of digging in the pegmatites.
