Infinium looks gorgeous in the frozen surf! Is that what you hunt with? Im looking at getting a Sea Hunter.

I have used the Infinium for water hunting for several years. In the deeper water, I dig it all. In the shallow water I use the AT Pro or AT Gold with some disc. When I started using the Infinium, my gold ring totals went up considerably. Both the the Sea Hunter and Infinium are great machines, with a lot of good reviews from people who have learned them properly. The new Garrett ATX has a bit more depth and has a mode which grunts on iron like the AT Pro in the top 4-5 inches on coin sized objects, and deeper on larger items.

Thanks John! Glad to hear that the Sea hunter is good detector. Can't wait to get mine. I have the AT Pro but I want depth to really clean out the beaches here. It was either the sand shark or the sea hunter. In my opinion the garrett was just more versatile. Only thing is, it doesn't have a coil cover for the 8". Any thoughts or suggestions to protect my coil? Ive heard of bed liner to epoxy weld but not sure I would do this.

I know some people have started using Gorilla Tape with good results.

Now that sounds like a good idea. Gonna check it out. Thanks John! Good luck

Me too.....I am missing some coil covers on some of my detectors.

Checked it out and gorilla tape looks pretty strong. Comes in different colors too. When I get my sea hunter I will be putting it on.

I didn't have a cover for my 8x11 so I just gorilla taped it up pretty good. Doesn't look great but now don't have to worry about scratching that coil up. My 5x8 has a cover so I left that one alone. Anyone tell me if the gorilla tape will stay on in the river water?

Those are some nice videos. Thanks
