Metal Detecting
New to metal detecting, currently in Pueblo. I have been detecting in random areas around Cooper mountain and phantom canyon for mining relics, and detecting areas of pueblo for random artifacts.
Pueblo has quite a few spots, mostly city or mineral palace park, the alleys can be interesting too.

:hello: Welcome to tnet!

Good Luck treasure hunting.

Every year on this anniversary date of the Great Flood of June 3-5th 1921...I wonder what artifacts and things remain buried along the banks of the Arkansas from Penrose....clear to Lamar Colorado. The loss of life was originally estimated at 1500 people...but after a while was reduced to around 300. 600 homes and many downtown businesses were carried away. Have any of our detectorist ever focused on those target rich areas along the Fountain and Arkansas..???

The river is mighty powerful. I have seen 50 foot trees going 30 mph down the river when the snow is in full melt. There is a viewing point east of Texas Creek where the ground actually rumbles when flow is over 3000 CFS. River should be really low this year.
