The pumpkin leaves the cannon at 300 miles per hour . Kinda hard to get a pic .

They also had a pumpkin catapult ! They were going about a thousand feet out in the bay .

So if this is in Maine, I see in the paper today where y'all also take big ol pumpkins, hollow them out, put a motor on and race them around!! I have seriously underestimated y'all! I thought Stephen King was all right, But I have now moved the whole state of Maine up 4 notches in my estimation of coolness and places I might fit in. Way to go.

Just too cool. It's amazing all the things that go on locally that we rarely here about. I am startin to see that rednecks are universal. It would be way more cooler if they fired the 'Smashing Pumpkins' out of that catapult. Just kiddin. They're a pretty good band, I'll bet.
