Most of the Penny boxes I've been getting lately have been all 2012, so I was happy to see all those circulated coins when I opened up one of the boxes I'd grabbed for the weekend. Nothing too special about it; a dozen wheats or so, I think the earliest was 1925. The coolest thing about the box though, was the two punched coins inside it. I had heard about some of these, and in my very first Nickel box I pulled out at 2010 P with a Masonic Symbol stamped on it. But finding two in one box was pretty cool.

I figured I'd post them to show. Anybody else have any neat ones (w/ pics?) that they've run across? Any cool/interesting stories or history to the ones that you've found?

That's awesome! Now that I see it, I think that I remember your post from a few months ago.

Yep, I've gotten a zinc penny with an outline of the state of Texas on it.

Sweet! That Nickel is cool.

hey! i have the same Kennedy Punched coin too! -same year also

Assuming this is all post mint correct?

Nice coins!!!!

My girlfriend received the same Kennedy punch in her change a few months back. Most of the punches I find are holes through coins. :(
