That's just what I did. Had a few hours to spare and detected in a couple of local parks. No precious metals today, but most days are like that. None the less, fun as usual. With some cool finds. The Victorinox SD pocketknife was about 3" down and rang up like a bouncy clad quarter. It came out of the ground in near mint condition, undamaged, no rust, and with all of its attachments! :hello2: Mrs. Sub has already claimed it... :laughing7:

The rest of the loot consisted of $3.50 in clad, a pair of reading glasses, a "Princess" dog (or kid) tag, and a set of keys. (Any idea what kind of key the long copper one is?) and a large bling ring that gave my heart a jump at first!

Thanks for looking, get out and enjoy a walk with your detectors if the weather allows, Sub 8-)

Nice! I carry one of those pocketknives with me all the time. The best feature is the toothpick!

Very nifty park treasures Sub - congrats to ya mate! :skullflag: :occasion14:

That ring would have made my heart beat a little faster too. Nice looking knife. Congrats

Hi, nice finds Congrats.:icon_thumleft:

The long key may be a safe deposit box key.

Nice hunt, nice looking find with the knife, and a handy find, that ring would have done me in, the princess tag may be a good luck charm, I would try it out for a day, just kidding, congrats on all & HH

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

That's one big ring the key could be a safety deposit box key...:occasion14:

Hello laughter. I am from Iran and I can not speak English well. It was interesting to me that you are looking for valuable objects in the park.

In Iran, this is a crime. Of course, if the crime is not the same, we are not looking for an expensive object in the parks. There are many ancient places and places where precious metals exist. Our problem is the crime of this and the lack of SEO. Efficient machines have a high price we can buy

Welcome to the forum from Port Allegheny, Pennsylvania

Nice finds Sub. I agree with Doubter in MD. I was going to say Safe Deposit Box key.

Sorry what is MD?

Hello and welcome to Treasurenet,

I use a stock Garrett ATPro, an affordable workhorse that has paid for itself in cash and jewelry several times over during the past five years! Cheers, Sub 8-)
