Putting in the time.....

.....until the next great find.
I decided to return & do another solo hunt (3.5 hrs) on the field that produced the Silver Badge. Although I tried the opposite end of the field in an area I hadn't gridded yet. Temperature is now feeling below 0 but still didn't feel the need for gloves, so pretty nice really, as you soon warm up with all the junk digging.
Nothing much to report this time;

That's an interesting tailor's thimble. Looks like only the very end could be used for pushing needles and the top is flared.

Any idea what those two L shaped items next to the thimble in the bottom pic are? I found a couple exactly like that recently.

I get loads of them, they have been IDed as small clothes hooks the iron screw threads are always broken off. I have often wondered if the smart thinking was incorrect, & that they might be hooks that went on horse harnesses??
