Snow white quartz points like posted above are pretty much non existent in Central IL. We only have quartzite from the glacial till. Two types, meta and ortho. Metaquartzite is not knappable and is very common. Orthoquartzite is knappable but very rare here. Out of the hundreds of points I’ve found in IL, this is my only orthoquartzite point.
