Could easily be mistaken for material and pieces found here in the southeast. I have some that look very similar.

Quartz is so hard to read nice eye on those. You know it really takes some skill to work that material. First I have ever seen in that material.

Here in RI, if it weren’t for quartz, we might as well not take up the hobby, lol. A quartz pebble industry developed, and lots of small tools were made from quartz pebbles, not from quartz quarries. Since quartz litters the land, this reduced reliance on quarry sites. These end scrapers were all found on one site....

Looks like gem grade to me, we don’t got none in Florida, wish we did, only one I ever found was in Georgia.

I am right outside the quartz belt belt but find it in parts in Tn,Ga and Ala all 30 miles from me where they find gold. The few I have found locally I think were traded as one or two or really well done. I like it.
