Quartz ?

Hi I have these for a while now...and I never found others rock like them anymore.. in a hole I dig for sometimes..I know it's not diamond they are too big and don't have the form of it...but what puzzle me is my diamond tester sound on each of them when I test them.. other quartz I have found the diamond tester don't even react more than 1 or 2 bar.. But the two small one the tester go up and beep like when I test the diamond on my wedding ring...my question is what or can clear quartz can make a diamond tester beep ? I can see thru with a flashlight...those rocks look like they have a skin around them ( if I can say that)..I am from Canada Quebec and they scratch glass and granite..marble.. pieces I have around.. thank you

Sure can. Depending on what other minerals are present diamond testers will register false positives on many minerals. Testers are meant to be used on clean cut gems. Your description of hardness lends me to believe you've mostly quartz but I'd test a little more for that translucent bit, might be topaz, though the dry view does not support that.

Ok I don't know about topaz it's a mountain region where I dig that hole honestly I dig there because I found gold inside that hole but when I wash the rock I always look at them found some weird one...I try to scratch other quartz with it but cannot see any scratches on it... What about Opal is that possible? I have found alot of labradorite inside low quality.. I need to scratch those on sand paper to remove the top layer ? I found some pictures online that look like them but eh I don't think so.

Quartz vs quartz = equal hardness. They won't scratch each other. If it was topaz, it'd scratch the quartz, so it's not that. Opal is a whole different ball game in terms of looks.
