an old 14K White Gold Band






As most of you know I have been on a "low conductor" kick lately and I decided to hunt at the area by the lake near my town park where everyone sunbathed back in the 50's and 60's.

How do I know this?...because my "pops" told me he used to spend MUCH time there in his hay-day.

I have hammered it before and found quite a few mercs...but never messed with lower hits.

Anyway...right to the point. ...the SE pro sniffed out this nice 14K white gold band.






A few...okay quite a few lead sinkers

were unearthed...but I don't need to show them

Just another example of a shocker find when I least expected it. It's exactly why I love the hobby.

My best buddy Hercules also liked the find so he was more than willing to pose with it and get some air time as usual









I then drove up the hill to the park area for a while and used the ctx for a few minutes.

I only got one keeper and it was this crusty old V-Nickel from an honest 8"+ down...so I was pleased.

Good thing your dog didn't eat it, you'd have to detect for it again in a few days :-).

Great find there brother! Glad you're focusing on the lower conductors too and it seems like it's paying off well. I'm sure you're also starting to dig a lot of nice relics, buttons, etc..... Would love to see a cleaned up pic of that ring!

Bryce , Great Find !- The first pic of Herc , looks like he has a mini halo on his head !!! Keep hitting those low signals in areas where
you have a punchers chance of scoring a gold ring - you obviously will dig more rubbish , but you will also score the odd ring of gold !

When I was a little boy my mother bought that exact ring at Sear's. My sister has it now. She paid a lot for it in 1957, my dad thought she was nuts. He wore a $10 band until the day he died. Great find...

...yeah would have had to search for it again. The marking simply says 14k.

Thanks my friend. Thjat's exactly what I've been doing...concentrating on site specific areas where I think the chance is better. The one pic does look like a halo.
