Question about stamp on gold Chain.

PK could be the makers initials or the PK could stand for Pakistan.

I would either buy a gold test kit or take it to a jeweler.

I've never come across this mark, but anything is possible.

A few years ago, I found a gold earring on the sidewalk while walking my dog.

The earring was marked "14k Israel". That was a first for me.

I have an acid test kit and confirmed that it was 18k,just the mark has me stumped

I think Im gonna have an assay done to be sure.Thank you for the advice

Usually plumb gold is marked with the P after the K (18KP). It doesn't mean pure gold (24k), it just means it is true to the karat marked.

GIB hit the nail on the head. plumb gold means karat marked is the exact weight...... PLUMB GOLD means the piece contains the precise amount of gold in the alloy that the Karat mark indicates. It use to be 14 kt could actually be 13.5 Kt and still be marked 14Kt.
