I hunt mostly inland lakes and visibility isn't always the best in these lakes. I was wondering if anyone has ever attached a Tritium tube on their coil to help see the coil location and did it have any effect on the working of the coil and detector itself?

It shouldn't have any effect.
Never heard of it, but theres no reason it wouldn't work. Just brightness v clarity of the water. You might do better with a LED of some sort tho, even if you had to cobble together something of your own.

I'm just wanting to use one for pin pointing better in murky water, though a waterproof LED flashlight maybe better.
