Question for my Mid-Mo bro's

I was at the Lake of the Ozarks yesterday and was going north on Hwy 5 thru Gravois Mills. The Gravois creek really looked like a nice creek to walk, pretty wide in that area but nice all the same. My question is. Has anyone on here done any walking in the Gravois and if so did you have any luck? I know that there is not much chance of someone giving up there honey hole but I figured I would try. Im real new to artifact hunting, field and creek and really have not found to much in the creeks yet, still developing the eye for creek hunting but just was looking for a new spot to hunt once in awhile. I live in the Tipton area and there is some nice creeks around here but I believe they are hit quite often. Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance. ;D JYD.

I haven't hunted any creeks in that area but generally my opinion is that pretty much ANY creek in Missouri that isn't full of mud is worth checking. I have found virtually all of my points and other artifacts in creeks in NEMO and now no matter where I am I find myself gawking at every creek I cross while driving down the road. The more sandy/gravelly the creek the better....I especially like the small/medium sized ones that have gravel bars at the bends. The only thing you need is to make sure that you have permission to be there. Good luck.
