Question for the "pros"

I had my mom put in an order for some halfs, They told her they came in $1000 boxes. I had her confirm it three times $1,000.00 per box. Has anyone else seen this or had any luck with these?

I've seen $1,000 in bags. But only $500 normally to a "box". And some banks have to order $1,000 in order to place the order, so they have to get 2 boxes. That is posible.

Either way, just get $1,000 and see how you do. :-)

Or they could be confusing 1/2's with $ coins cause they come in 1k boxes.

Yeah I have seen that also. But she swore up and down it was $1000 to a box... My original order was for two boxes thinking that is was $500 boxes. I dropped it to one box when I found out it was $1000 a box. I guess I'll take pictures and post for all to see. One branch has a box already I'm going to pick up Wednesday. We shall see.

When I had my wife order halves for me, her bank told her the same thing - $1,000 box, but they always came in two $500 boxes. It could be that the bank has to order a minimum of $1,000 and that maybe their form states "$1,000 box" when they order them so they told your mom that.
