Found two cymbals today and was wondering what type of metal(s) they are made from. These are Paiste 2002 15" Heavy Hi-Hat Bottom Rock cymbals, they appear to be brass but not sure, they will not stick to a magnet. They are somewhat heavy. thanks

Well if they are not cracked or bent up, they ar worth 10X more than scrap on Craigslist. If they are junk, yes, they will be yellow brass.

Thanks SS, no, they are not bent at all, infact they are in pretty good shape, I'll give craig's list a try, thanks and happy scrapping to you. Found a treadmill last night with heavy motor and also found a vacuum cleaner that had a dollar coin inside, never know what you will find.......

If you have a music store close you can always pay a visit. They may buy em for cash for resale or rentals.

Guitar Center sells them. Give them a call. Best Paiste are CuSn8 bronze, cheaper Paiste are a cheper bronze alloy. Suspect that if they are heavy, they are the best. Good find and worth some $$$$$$$

OK, I just reread your post. Sorry. They are the CuSn8, the BEST cymbals Paiste makes. Congrats...
