Been a while since I've been on the forum, but would like to get back to detecting again since moving & some medical issues held me back!
Well I'm back & have been getting my detectors ready for use, which brings me to my GTI 2500. Detector is about 6-7 years ....
With new batteries in the unit, thumbing through menu & notice the surface elimination setting was on at 6 in. , I tried to set back to off or to 2 in. read out, but to no avail !
Using the + or - should change the setting, is this correct or am I missing something ?

Is there a way to do a factory reset on the GTI 2500?

Ok , googled it, pulled up owners manual on reset.
Hold power button, On/off , seems to be working proper. Have to test in field now...

Ive also had strange anomalies too... Once in a while it would go into this weird mode where a would go nuts... The factory reset does work but its a temp fix in my opinion... I sent mine in for maintenance when winter hit... Seem to work like a champ now. Maybe if all else fails just send it to Garret.
